Working with Paul was a real pleasure. He is a great listener, expert in hardscapes, and a good person. Our stone firepit & patio exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend.

The main entrance to the Northclift subdivision in Raleigh is located at the intersection of Six Forks Road and Northclift Drive. This subdivision includes approximately 550 homes. This entrance includes two contoured, matching stone walls with metal letters bolted to the walls, gas lines for lighting fixtures available on the top pedestal of each wall, and a variety of plantings. Each wall sits on individually owned properties at the corners of the intersection. Since our neighborhood does not have a homeowners association, our entrance has been maintained by the Northclift Home & Garden Club since 1970 (hereafter referred to as the Garden Club). In the summer of 2022, one wall was destroyed by a vehicle accident. Fortunately for our neighborhood, the driver had insurance. The Garden Club spent the next 11 months working to replace the damaged wall. This was a complicated process because: 1. We had to request a copy of the police report. 2. The owner of the property on which the damaged wall sat did not live on the property. He had to be traced and agree to forward the insurance monies to our club with the knowledge that the Garden Club did not have any legal right to those monies. A legal document was created and signed by the appropriate parties for this purpose. 3. We had to research which business would be capable of replacing the damaged wall knowing that it must match the undamaged wall. A written estimate of the stonework and the letter replacement along with a copy of the businesss insurance had to be acquired. 4. We had to work with multiple insurance agents and supply the requested documents multiple times. Paul Bronson, owner of Statements in Stone, remained steadfast during this entire process this also means he maintained his quoted price which was submitted many months prior. Once we received the insurance monies and paid our deposit, work began almost immediately. The entire project, including final payment, was completed within three weeks. You can see that this company can handle complicated situations. If you like speaking directly with the person contracted to do masonry work, prepare for Paul to answer the phone! If you like working with someone who does exactly what they say they will do (and what you ask them to do), you will want to hire this company for any stone masonry work! If you like work areas for projects like this to remain clean and orderly, you will want to hire this company for stone masonry work! And did I say this company will preserve the plants they remove while working? Yes, upon request, they will maintain and return your plants! Statements in Stone is the best in the business! I had a pretty annoying drainage issue and contacted Statements in Stone. The owner actually answered the phone! A consultation was conducted by Chase in no time and a written quote provided. It was thoroughly professional. They showed up when promised, completed the work in a timely manner, and left everything clean and in order. Workmanship is excellent! The retaining wall they built for me not only solved the drainage issue, but is perfectly matched to the existing structure. Looks wonderful! Highly recommend and will use again for similar projects.

I had Statements in Stone lay a bluestone patio over my concrete patio in 2020 and could not be more pleased with the result. Great care was taken at each step of the process from initial discussions on my vision for the patio and obtaining the stone to my specifications, regarding size and color, to the final cleanup. Chase Strom who managed my project was thorough to the last detail and responsive to all my questions. The men who laid the stone, grouted and power washed displayed true skill at their work and were attentive to detail. I highly recommend Statements in Stone.
