In September 2013, these people (including Ricky and Chris Carpenter) installed two skylights in my sunroom roof, to replace two leaky ones Those newly installed began to leak copiously with the first significant rainfall .I called and emailed; they came out and had a man apply caulking - during a heavy rain(!) and said they would check back. That was in November. The leaking continued, and became steadily worse. I made many attempts to get them back here to correct the problem. I intensified my attempts to enforce the written 10-year guarantee on workmanship" to no avail.I did find on the NC Secretary of State website that CRC Contractors had been incorporated in 2009, but administratively dissolved. Of course that does not mean that they could not be doing business under that name, UNLESS FRAUDULENTLY. Finally I sent a certified letter this month (August 2014) to the address given (Early on I had checked GPS to assure that it was a valid Raleigh address). It was returned - marked not there, no forwarding address. Forwarding is provided for a year by USPS. I went to the address and it exists but is occupied by a law firm. Clearly they had provided a false address. I have the image file of my check endorsed by "CRC Contractors." I will not stop pursuing these people and plan to file in small claims court. In the meantime I employ several basins when it rains. The only benefit: I have plenty of rainwater collected indoors to water my indoor plants.
