Oak Island Accommodations

Recently stayed at Don't Worry Beach Happy and it was an awful experience. Oak Island Accomodations advertises extra covid specific cleaning. The cleaners arrived at 4pm (our check in time) and were done at 4:45pm. Floors were filthy, maybe swept a little but definitely not mopped in a very long time. Dust hanging from the ceiling fans, thick dust and grime on lamps and bedside tables. Broken furniture and doors. Broken door in fridge. Broken keyless entry panel. Broken dryer that left grease streaks on clothes. Yard and edges of pool area overgrown and trash around the pool. Remotes held together with bandaids. Rusted nails and splintered wood on decks. Old leak under the sink in kitchen with moldy smell. Upstairs bed mattress cover stained and smelled of urine. Multiple nasty pillows. And the cherry on top cockroaches big ones and a lot of them. The worst part was how unhelpful and unconcerned the rental company was. Everyone was curtious on the phone but nothing ever got done, they didn't even come spray for bugs like they said they would. I asked to speak to administration multiple times but they were always too busy and of course never called me back. After spending my whole vacation pestering, they finally offered to return the cleaning fee of $190. That's it.

I have rented with them many times and would definitely recommend!! Very pleasant, helpful and as it is a part of their name very accommodating!

Absolutely the worst property management company. It’s all about the money. First time to Oak Island and had noisy neighbor. No resolution at all. We were told: poor thing is going through a divorce. Somehow that’s our problem? Will never come back to this terrible reality show.
