The only decent food we had was the Pimento cheese with crab and homemade Pork skins. It took them 30 minutes to get them to us, we had to stop someone just to get our drinks refilled. Our dinner was less than average especially For the amount it cost. The "chef" Suggested that my salmon be cooked medium and I agreed. However, it came out over cooked with no seasoning whatsoever. The gnocchi was bland. I was looking forward to The heirloom tomatoes. They were cold as if they were kept in a refrigerator. Anyone who knows anything about storing tomatoes, You do not refrigerate Them. It destroys the taste and ruins the texture. My husband had the bone in pork chop. While it looked very good, it was not seasoned before it was cooked. It was also overcooked. As for the ambiance, You would think it would be a nice quiet place to talk to your dinner partner. Not so! They had eight tables, and a few bar stools. It look like the inside of a fish camp. For those of you you hail from the North, A fish camp is a place with formica floors Non descript tables in very uncomfortable Chairs. Now don't get me wrong. I have Eaten at some of the best fish camps. Fresh seafood cooked to perfection with large portions At reasonable prices. We also had the misfortune of listening to a table of four men " he haw" like A bunch of drunk, female donkies in heat! We have found that the best place to eat for food and ambiance is, Morgan's Tavern. Please, Do not waste your time or money on 247 Craven.

We did the chef's choice. It was an incredible meal. We had a wonderful group of servers. It was a dark, cold, rainy and windy night but well worth the walk from our hotel. Technically, I think it was snowing...
