I had a Generac generator installed a year ago and except for a few minor things it has worked fine. It is now time for maintenance and I was informed that the cost is $350.00. This was not told to me at purchase or installation time.

Really please with Alternative Power. Came out recently to perform the first annual maintenance on my Generac Generator. (only a year old) Jacob the technician discovery an Oil Seal leaking on the Engine Flywheel Shaft. A few days later when trying to pull the flywheel to get to the seal he ran into all kinds of problems. He called his supervisor (Robert) and they decided to order a new flywheel to have before moving forward. A few days later, I received a phone call from Robert to tell me he had the flywheel and that he was coming out himself to repair the unit the next day, which he did. So far, every person I have spoken to with Alternative Power, from the office staff, to the technician, to his supervisor has done what they said they would do, when they said they would do lt. This is the kind of company I enjoy doing business with.

I have been with this company Alternative Power since 2018, they service my Generac generator. Todays service was completed by Will, who arrived very professional and definitely knowledgeable about the generator. Will serviced the generator and completed a function check, gave the thumbs up that my system is ready to provide electricity if needed. Also had the pleasure of talking with Teresa at Alternative Power office. Teresa was very helpful in making sure my account was straight and all information was updated so they can provide continued service to me without any interruption. I love working with this company. I was impressed! I had called Alternative because I recently purchased a fixer-upper home and it had an old Generac system in place. However, it had not been turned on in a long time (what I was told by the realtor). I was concerned that every Generac servicing company that I called, would come out and say "it is an old unit, you must replace it, here is bill for $15k. I opened my door and Jacob the technician was there. He was actually early to the scheduled appointment. He did his thing, check out the equipment, ran some test, changed out a few parts and gave me the run down on proper maintenance. He told me I should get another 3 years or so out of the unit. Works for me and I was excited to hear the Generac system power up. I believe this company is running a honest and fair business. If I need to replace I will be calling them.
