This group doesn't use OpenTable so I'm posting here. Been coming here about 10 years, food and drink always excellent. Lately the service has accelerated to another level with John, a professional waiter from New York. He is by far the best waiter in this area. We had a memorable experience with him tonight. A pet peeve/concern of mine is the amateur level of service around LKN. Smiling and being friendly isn't service. It's sometimes embarrassing taking friends from out of town, or business clientele, out to eat. For $100+ dollars per person I'd rather have John over anyone else. If you are a new guest, John tells the story of the chef's journey from Italy to New York(becoming a Master Chef in the culinary Capital), and then here. This weaving of a tale continues through presentation of the bread, menu descriptions (dessert descriptions omg!), and attention to mis en place(he masters this) from beginning to end. Again, that level of service just elevated the whole experience to another place. Props to Caruso's for not resting on their laurels and working hard to stay on top of their competition.

This was my first visit to Caruso's, and everything was stellar. Good Italian food can be hard to find, but I found it here. I even had a chat with the Mr Caruso himself and it's clear that he takes pride in his work. I will be returning for more.

Food quality in NO way justifies this very pricey restaurant. Veal scallopini tasted like cardboard smothered in sauce. any local pizza joint does better all around.

Amazing is the best word I can think of to accurately describe our experience at Caruso's. The service was beyond excellent and the "main event" was incredible! From the crab cake appetizer, the bread, to the entrees and of course the tiramisu was delicious. It's upscale dining in an unsuspecting place. We'll definitely be back.
