        Purchased a new Marlin 1895 Guide Gun .45-70 and the rear buckhorn sight was "way off" axis (on an angle) to the axis of the barrel. This defect was very obvious and something that should have been caught during in-process inspection and/or final acceptance inspection. The defect was either in the assembly of the sight itself or the machining of the female dovetail into the barrel. Very poor quality that is representative of a poor quality management system at Ruger's Mayodan, NC facility.
