This business is 👌 awesome!! I called to see about replacing a retaining wall at our home in Lake Lure and my call was returned promptly. Jay came out the next day to see the problem. Concerned that the old wall would collapse with the heavy rain in the forecast he took the old wall down within the next couple days. Soon a new retaining wall was up and the driveway and walkway saved! Put down pine straw to help soil settle. New railing and steps added and I can't emphasize enough of how pleased of the outcome!! My wife and I hired Jay Freeman to build a retaining wall behind our cabin and pour a concrete deck . He worked with us on the design and answered all of our questions. Jay and his team removed the old wall, built a concrete footer with steel rebar, constructed a concrete block wall, filled with concrete, and mortared on natural stone. My wife and I are extremely happy . The retaining wall looks amazing. We have received many compliments from our friends and neighbors. We are looking forward to working on other masonry projects with Jay and his team. Thanks again!!

My wife and I purchased a newer home on Lake Lure, NC on January of 2017. Unfortunately, the seawall which was part of the original fishing cabin was built in the 1940's. Yet despite this fact still passed the inspection. As mother nature would determine the wall began to collapse after an unforeseen collision. After seeking several estimates we decide to go with Freeman Stone Masonry based on their experience, references and quality of work. Jay and his team completed the project in May of 2020 and I must say the lake area looks both cosmetically and structurally very sound. We have received nothing but compliments since the job was completed!

When we decided to build up in Lake Lure, we asked around who to use for stone work on our new cabin. Everyone we spoke to said Freeman Masonry was the only choice if you wanted quality workmanship and materials. When we met with Jay on site of our build, he listened to our requests and then made several of his own. The final product was even better than we had hoped for. Since then we have hired Freeman Masonry to do other projects around our home to include stone walkways, stone steps down to the waterfront, fire pit, and the latest being a storage building to match the cabin complete with stone. Thank You Jay, for making our dream home a true work of art.
