We owned a conventional built raised ranch and wanted to convert to a log home. After many years of research, we choose a Katahdin Cedar Log Home materiel kit for a stand-alone two car garage and a second materiel package to add a great room and wrap the existing home in log siding. The local Katahdin builder was Big Twig Homes, LLC., led by Aaron Dunn. From our first meeting it was clear that Aaron had a lot of experience building log structures and many very good recommendations for both of our projects. Aaron and his construction team did a remarkable job from helping us design the addition to completing the construction. The quality of the materials and workmanship were superb! Even more amazing was the many fine details that Aaron’s team added to the interior finish and lighting of the new great room and transitioning the new log home architecture into the existing structure. Topping off the project was a beautiful expansive deck providing us with easy to access awesome outdoor living space. Aaron’s team overcame several unforeseen issues with the existing structure, successfully managed a number of subcontractors, and completed this complex project on schedule. We highly recommend Aaron and his company.
