I absolutely loved eating at Tripp's tonight. When we got there, they said it would be a 10-15 minute wait, but we were seating in about 5 minutes. not bad for Valentine's day. We ordered some of the crab cakes which were delicious, but I thought they were a bit expensive (about $10 for 6 1.5 ounce crab cakes.) I ordered the steak and lobster and my girlfriend order a shrimp and scallop pasta dish. My steak was cooked well done and was the best steak I have ever eaten in my life so far, although I think it would be hard to beat. The lobster was also delicious as well and the butter went great with it. When it came time to pay, I realized I had forgotten my card at home. When I told my server this and I asked if they could just type it in, they said they couldn't and they apologized for not being able to. The manager on duty also came over to let me know they couldn't and explained why. I will definitely visit tripp's more often with the kind of service and respect towards the customers that they have.
