HORRIBLE COMPANY....THIS IS A SCAM! We paid upfront for our reservation and they never showed up. We did not receive a refund the owner has blocked my phone number.

This seems to be a scam - I purchased a boat rental almost 6 months ago to which there was a $250 deposit. Although the boat itself was fine and I was told I would get my deposit back, the money was never returned. Fast forward to now and I still have never received the money despite many, many calls and posts to the "contact us" on Chris's website. My bank refuses to refund it as well as I have no receipt (foolish me). Avoid at all costs!

DO NOT rent from this company. They charge $250 refundable deposit at the time of rental and never refunds back. I have been calling them from many months now and no one picks up the call. At the time of returning the boat, Chris (the guy we rented from) said that we will see refund in account in a months time. I never got the refund back and he isn't taking my calls now. It's been more than 4 months now and I am tired calling and leaving voicemails. I am going to report to the legal authorities about this scam they are doing.

Do not rent from this business. He will not refund the security deposit if you are from out of town!! My family and I were in Greensboro for the Jr. Olympics. On a day off we decided to take the boys on a boat ride for half a day. We called around and Duckhead was the most reasonable. The process was pretty simple. Pay a $250 security deposit on your Credit Card. Pay $180 cash for renting the pontoon boat for 5 hours. We paid the deposit on the credit card. We met the guy with the pontoon boat at the dock. He asked us where we were from and we told him proudly about the boys being in the Jr. Olympics. There was something about his facial expression when I told him we were from out of town that made me think humm. He showed us how to use the boat and off we went to have fun. About 3 hours in a storm developed and we headed to the dock. We met the guy at the dock and turned over the boat an hour early. He checked it out and took it for a quick spin in the inlet and then came back and said no damage and he would refund the security deposit. I didn't ask for anything $ back since we came back 1 hour early. I waited a week and didn't get any notification about the deposit refund so I called him. He said he must have forgotten and would refund that night. I waited another week and got nothing so I called again. He said he would do it right away I waited 2 weeks and got nothing so I called again. He said sorry and he we get to it quickly. It is now 2 months and no refund. Do not rent from this organization!!!
