i do not recommend sending your kid here if they have runaway issues. my friend got sent here and he ran away twice and they kicked him out. only after him being there for 3 weeks. they kept saying its normal and its just gonna take time for him to settle so we were just waiting and as time gone by our djj worker told us they have been trying to find a new placement for him. we had no idea they were kicking him out or anything. we had to hear it from the djj worker. so no i would definitely find a different treatment center. straight bs.

I keep seeing all these bad reviews and people saying bad things and i wont lie to u as an old resident i would have agreed with u but now that its been a few years since i left i realize just how much it changed me for the better. I used to think all the work and chores we had to do were dumb and pointlessly cruel but now i can see the lessons behind the things we did. It taught us the meaning of teamwork and taught us that everything we do has consequences whether they be good or bad.

I fee like they have lost touch of their initial message. They treat the kids like they're in a labor camp and treat the staff just as poorly. The other kids often get chigger bites, have broken bones, and have gotten infections. The nurse shrugs it off and the kids hardly go to the doctors office. As punishment for some of the kids' behaviors they miss school or recreation time to do more work. Sleeping outside in the winter is the worst! They say we can sleep inside if it's 28* or lower, we've slept outside and it's dropped to the teens at night. I would not send my kid here, and would try to talk DSS or a judge out of sending my kid here.
