Not recommended. Superior Diesel in Charlotte is the place for big trucks.

I recently brought my diesel to this company needing filters checked and a seal replaced on the fuel regulator. I had to call them after not hearing back from them (this happened several times) to find out the status of the truck. When I picked up the vehicle I was prepared to have them do a lot more work on several of my vehicles but when I began to drive the truck I was surprised that the truck was not running right at all. It seemed to be incredibly rough and the gas mileage went from 16mpg to about 7. I was thinking that there was air in the fuel lines or trash in the filter. When I popped the hood to check the filters I found that the secondary filter cap had been broken. I also found that there was not oil cap. The truck continued through the weekend to run terribly. I brought back to them on Monday and mentioned the oil cap and the filter cap and the truck wasn't running right. They proceeded to tell me that they had just fired the guy that was working on my vehicle, then had me drop the truck back off. After two days they did not figure out what the problem was. They said it was the alternator, which I replaced that day in 30 minutes only to find that it had nothing to do with how the vehicle was running since it still ran terribly. They also did not even offer to cover the cost of fixing the secondary filter cap but they also didn't put an oil cap on (which cost 3 dollars). They stated that it wasn't on there to begin with. I think this is possibly true but after having changed the oil it seems odd not to mention it and fix it (again, 3 dollars). As it is, the truck still runs terribly and I must find another mechanic to try to figure out what is going on. The owner seemed genuinely interested in fixing it but simply didn't and made no suggestions on making it right. It was a bit of a bazaar way of handling business. All I could think was to get my truck back as quickly as I could. I think these guys probably are typically good mechanics but my experience was not good and it cost me $500 to have a truck that is worse than it was before I brought it. My hope is that they operate in better consideration of their customers in the future. Running a business is hard but also requires some accountability.

The actual mechanic is great, as well as the owner and his daughter. The former racecar mechanic is not enthusiastic about his job, and dented our RV. Owner's daughter was apologetic, and paid for the damage. They did a good job on the repair.

Doug has now passed away. My condolences. New owner named Jake or Jack. Had my 7.3 liter transit bus there during transition of ownership. Tammy quoted me 400/600 max to flush fuel system. They kept bus for more than 2 months and charged my church $2750.00 without notifying us of price increase! Said they flushed fuel system and acid dipped fuel tank. Looking under the bus the tank is filthy on outside. Im not a mechanic but if you send tank off to be acid dipped, they would clean exterior of tank. Fuel filter looks old and the name on filter (NAPA) is almost worn off. Less than 50 miles has been put on bus and it will not start. Parts were less than 500 bucks. More than 2200 bucks in labor charge! Not trying to be critical, just telling our experience.
