Hungry Bear Restaurant

This place is wonderful. We eat there at least once a week. I've tried the country fried steak, the spaghetti and meatballs, the cheeseburger... it's all delicious. And the breakfast is the best in town.

BUMMED- CLOSED LAST WEEK 5/2015-. We happened onto the Hungry Bear..not in a high transit area. Food is delicious. I had prime rib sandwich and a huge side salad. My companion had the hamburger special. An amazing $5 special. Mine was 9.99. Coming back for the 12.99 hard to find mountain trout. Looking forward to raising it to 5 stars! Next trip..fried mountain trout. Melted in the mouth. My companion had the wonderous sausage plate..3 kinds, including elk/cranberry combo. He pronounced it all delicious. Next Friday before the auction next door..it's going to be the grilled trout. Thanks HB! The only change I'd make has nuthin to do with the great food. Change the booths to the main room! The few they had were off to the side and full.

Never ending wait.... Ordered the special, fried jumbo shrimp and my girlfriend ordered the alligator philly. We waited over an hour for our food. No one let us know what was going on or apologized. People that were seated after bus got their food before us. Food was definitely not worth the price they put on it or the service they provided.

Food was very,but it took quite a while to get our food. Food was a little pricey.

Great hot dog and brats. The entire menu is primo. Service is spotty due to low number of staff but the food is wonderful.
