        My wife and I recently stayed at The Inn for 3 nights. While the service was very good, the experience was marred by unexpected billing practices and minor discomforts. Upon booking, my wife was provided with a nightly rate that seemed reasonable. However, I was taken aback to find that the rate for the first night was more than double the initially quoted price ($647.42) This significant increase was not communicated to me beforehand, which led to an unpleasant surprise at checkout. In an effort to address this issue, I reached out to the hotel management. Regrettably, my concerns were not taken as seriously as I had hoped. Despite multiple attempts, I was unable to directly connect with the manager, as my calls were redirected to the reception desk, leading to no resolution. On a positive note, the service provided by the staff was good, which made the stay enjoyable in other aspects. However, I believe there's room for improvement in the comfort department, particularly the pillows, which did not meet my expectations for a restful night's sleep. Transparency in pricing and comfort are crucial elements of a satisfactory hotel stay. I hope The Inn at Elon takes this feedback into account to enhance future guest experiences, ensuring clear communication regarding rates and investing in more comfortable amenities.       We regret that your recent stay ended with a marred experience due to the average rate. Your reservation was made on February 18, 2024 with ten percent off AAA rate, then was changed to the fifteen percent discounted student/parent rate. Upon completion of your reservation you were sent two confirmations with the average rate for your three night stay . With this being scholarship weekend Friday and Saturday rates were elevated which made the average rate for your stay just over $300. Our mission is "A Stay with Purpose", 100% of our profits goes to the university scholarship fund, which is what the weekend was about. We sincerely apologize for falling short of the experience we hope to deliver during your stay. Thank you for your kind words about the guest service agent who was empowered to resolve the issue at hand. If the opportunity presents itself in the future, we would be delighted if you would give us the chance to make it right.
