Dream Hotel Group are gentrifiers who shut down businesses locally owned by people of color in what amounts to corporate takeover of the middle of downtown Durham. If supporting small local business is your goal don't spend a dime here. Don't visit there plastic pandemic globes and don't patronize the restaurant and cafe they stole. Support small local Durham Business instead.

The food was better than expected and the music was great. A very entertaining atmosphere with drunk people falling into the pool.

Clean room. Comfortable bed. Nice location, walking distance to a lot of locations. Get poolside view if possible.

Let’s start with trying to check in. I made a reservation for 7:00pm a couple ahead of us were seated with a hostess that sparked a hand held firecracker to lead them to there igloo. I didn’t receive that treatment for whatever reason. We I get to my igloo it’s chilly so we turn on the heater that the offer! Best part of this whole shebang! We ordered two appetizers coccunt shrimp which was fresh and hot and the chicken gyoza which was not a favorite of ours. We tried putting in more food order because the $300 limit of Wednesday and Thursday needed to be met. The waiter told us that we could not order more food at 8:00 because there were only two workers in the kitchen and the order would then be considered “to-go” because of our 2 hours reservation limit. Our main entrees came out around 8:20 and they were not up to par. The steak and shrimp and scallop dinner is what my boyfriend ordered the steak was so charcoal it wasn’t even edible!! I order the seafood pasta that came out very dry not much sauce and the scallops resembled baby potatoes. I am just dissatisfied with the service and food selection the online menu is different from the food they offer once you arrive. Also, no fried Oreos the only dessert I planned on ordering. Save yourself the time and enjoy dinner elsewhere!
