We recently reached out to Lakeside to get information about replacing our 25-year-old HVAC unit. From the very beginning to the completion, they were extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and responsive. Scott first came out and provided us with quotes and detailed information on the different options for replacements. He also asked about the pain points that we had with our current unit. When I said that one issue was the amount of noise coming from the unit and its interference with us using our back deck, he gave helpful advice on where we could relocate the new unit so we would have zero noise. I also appreciate that he was not pushy about selling me the unit or trying to sell me the most expensive one. I had received quotes from two other competitors as well and Lakeside was also the most competitive with pricing. When it came to installation, Josh and the team were punctual when arriving. They made sure that we were happy with the positioning of the unit before installation. After the completion, they were very tidy cleaning up from removing the old unit. They also made sure that we were happy with everything before leaving. Finally, the next day we received a call from Scott asking if we were happy with how everything was working. We were extremely satisfied with all aspects of this company and would recommend them to all our friends and family!

We moved into a home that is set up with Trane Thermostats and had Lakesides number on them so naturally I called them to come out to take a look at a concern with the freon line. I will say the tech was very polite but I got charged $85, in addition to the $93 service call fee, to be shown how to use the Thermostat and set up an app that I could have easily googled how to do if I would have known they would charge me. I felt like they nickel and dimed us. Showing a new customer how to use the thermostat would have been good customer service to provide and establish a working relationship and future Business.

Very bad experience with this company. I paid $19,000 for a new Trane HVAC system 3 years ago. The compressor broke down and had to be replaced. Compressor was under warranty but they want to charge me $3,900 for refrigerant and labor! Their techs were at my house no less than 6 times trying to figure out what was wrong. Do NOT use this company and do NOT buy a Trane system. Response to owner's response: A responsible company would offer that when expensive equipment warranted for 10 years breaks down after only 3, the company will replace it at their own cost. But of course Trane and Lakeside want ME the homeowner to pay $3,900 for new refrigerant and labor. Trane warrants the compressor but NOT the refrigerant/freon - very slick - because the compressor CAN'T WORK without the freon! It's a SCAM. Lakeside refuses to break down the separate costs for the compressor, the refrigerant and the labor, claiming that they're a "flat rate company" that uses a "manual" with "codes". This scam is engineered so that both Trane and Lakeside can make money on a big repair and stick the homeowner with the majority of the cost. Of course Trane offers to "reimburse" the homeowner for a small part of the cost, but only AFTER the homeowner pays the entire invoice of $3,900 to Lakeside. Yeah, right. Then of course, Lakeside's owner calls me wanting to "have a chat", where she can make all kinds of promises which she'll later claim she never made. When I asked for her email address and for her to send me her proposal in writing I got NO RESPONSE. Save yourself a big headache and do NOT use Lakeside or Trane. If by some miracle - or more likely from bad publicity - they decide to eat all of the costs then I will also do the right thing and post a new review acknowledging it - but I'm not holding my breath. Feb. 5, 2024: Lakeside is now suing me in Small Claims Court for the $3,900 in "repair" SCAM money they want. They STILL refuse to give me an itemized invoice showing how much of the $3,900 is for labor and how much for parts - obviously to avoid revealing how much PROFIT they make from repairs. Read the other bad reviews here on Google and you see that they have a pattern of grossly overcharging for repairs - it's just a way for them to SCAM their customers and make more money. STAY AWAY!
