My husband and I found this store while searching online.  My husband has very large, wide feet and we have a hard time finding shoes for him.  The store is located in the original downtown area of Concord, so we parked on a side street and walked the block to Baucoms.  The building is older, but all of the displays were in tidy order and sectioned off by type of shoe. We walked in and were immediately greeted by a very nice gentleman who told us he would be right with us.  We looked over the displays of shoes as the gentleman finished ringing the couple he had been helping when we arrived.  Keep in mind, this store sells quality shoes, so you should expect to pay a higher price than you do at one of the big box stores or discount shoe places.  These are quality shoes that are built to last like Florsheim and Red Wing.  The gentleman came over and asked what we were looking for.  We explained that we needed 13EEE or wider if he had them available.  The man pulled several pairs for my husband to try. Several pairs!  We are lucky to find any/a sole pair of shoes at most places!  He did find a very nice pair of black leather dress loafers.  The gentleman mentioned that they could even be re-soled long term.  We kept looking and found a pair of work shoes for my husband as well. The gentleman mentioned he also sells the replacement insoles separately in case of need. My husband is on his feet all day, so we were sure the interiors would wear out well before the outside. We ended up getting the work shoes and extra inserts as well.  My husband was thrilled to find new work and dress shoes!If you have someone in your life with very large feet, this is the place to go.  The gentleman who waited on us turned out to be the owner, Mr. Baucom and he provided his card while he was ringing us out. There is a good reason his store has been there so long.  He provides exceptional service and has quality shoes in such an amazing range of sizes.    We will definitely be back.
