Senor Tequila Cantina Grill

I have been eating here since it first opened over 12 years ago. The food is AMAZING! We first started eating here when we were looking for some good mexican food. Little did we know we walked into South American Heaven. Thanks to Senor Tequila's I have been introduced to some delicious dishes from Columbia, Venezuela, Peru and even Cuban cuisine. Even after we left Charlotte and moved to South Florida we always made sure to stop at Senor Tequila whenever we passed through town. This will forever be my 1st choice to eat if not at home.

my wife and i have eaten there 2 times over this past year. the first experience was good and the food was good. this afternoon after a long run we decided to stop in and get a bite to eat. the service was great, very friendly and responsive. however the food was average...and my main entree, the chilean sea bass was HORRIBLE. it was obvious that the filet was old and the cook made every attempt to cover this fact up by saturating it with spices.4 hours later and our bellies still hurt. i would recommend this place for the atmosphere, drinks and the nachos but DO NOT ORDER their seafood.

I used to live in Miami and was missing it so I ordered the ropa vieja. It was horribly sweet. The black beans were over salted. The plantinos were under ripe. Friends salad had bad lettuce. Wifes shrimp were good. Other friend (cuban) had nachos and said they were good.

Used to be a favorite, their prices are already high but now they charge you for the second bowl of salsa or chips when you have 3 people. Unsure what they would charge you if you had more than 3 people. I have probably been here 15 times, I will never go back again after being charged for chips and salsa. If your meal price is high, chips and salsa should be a no brainer.--Raymond, sorry, On The Border and Los Mariaches offers unlimited chips!

Have been to Senor Tequila many times. It is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Charlotte. Dishes are authentic Mexican and have not been Americanized. They have expanded so it is easier to get a table.
