WFAE

I will not pledge to WFAE anymore. Over EIGHT WEEKS of fundraising every year now - with every program interrupted countless times with phone ring or email sound effects while all beg for money. Add in the "Sponsor" announcements (which are only disguised advertising) and WFAE devotes as much air time to raising money as to all those "commercial" stations they claim to be better than. At least have the honesty and transparency to admit that your fund raising method is every bit as visible as any other station. I turn this station OFF every fund raising drive and switch to South Carolina Public Radio. I'll still give - when and to what I choose - but this station has lost me as a sustaining member forever with their disingenuous fund raising.

WFAE is the Charlotte NPR radio. The services they provide and the non-profits they help support do great work for our community. I recommend listening to 90.7 for your local and national news!
