Uptown Gardens

Nice and quiet spot near tons of restaurants. Robin the property manager is very friendly , knowledgeable and detailed oriented! Highly recommend.

Its okay. good for the price and location. friendly staff but high turn over. cant park on the side street and got ticketed for it multiple times with no help from the apartment. When I moved into my apartment at Uptown Garden, we definitely had roaches in the kitchen from an unfixed hole in the wall behind our stove but they fixed it promptly.

After being here 7 years i have seen atleast 11 different property managers. Management TURN OVER IS WORRISOME AND HIGH. PROMISES ARE MADE TO FIX STUFF AND IT NEVER HAPPENS. Its like being on a merry-go-round. I miss some of the great managers we had like Kendra,Taylor, Elizabeth and Tia they all did amazing. The reputation of uptown especially this complex being fourth ward has changed over the last three years the crime has went up dramatically. I WILL SAY It's money well worth spent for uptown one complex that has lower rental rates and isnt to bad as far as the looks, plus you have your own entrance. I've never seen any rodents other than at the trash compactor, which is common. I am also OCD, so my place is probably too clean that it keeps the little aggravating bugs away! There is still black mold issues in the air ducts and they need to be replaced this is harmful and could be deadly. I have requested this ever since the first year of my residencey, and everytime its approved the manager is replaced so my request have to start all over. As far as homeless people, that's just typical city life it's even more so worse in larger cities. It's not as bad in Charlotte. So if you're not used to homeless people, living uptown period probably isn't the best move. I would suggest looking for a country life living home. We can't control what people do. Homeless people don't hang in the country because then they can't get their few dollars. This, unfortunately, is why they hang out where there are lots of people. I'm moving this year plus my health can't take the black mold that they continue to neglect.

The place is a dump, maintenance sucks, cant have guest for one hour without getting towed. Move in only if youre desperate.

I would give this apartment complex a 3.5 out of 5 starts. Rent isn't bad for the location, the complex usually has parking avaibility and the apartment units themselves are spacious. The pool was open maybe one month total out of the entire summer and we have had several problems with our water tank heater and general heating in our apartment. Overall, the building is a bit dated, you get what you pay for.
