The customer representative answered my question so quickly and had my issue resolved within minutes. The email she was to send literally came as soon as we hung up the phone. I got my temporary card and she has one being mailed out! Very pleased with the overall transaction!

This is definitely the cheapest of the cheap insurance. Been 3 months and haven't heard back from anyone about a possible reimbursement for my dentist appointment. The 1-800 number never answers either!! I don't get how this place is even in business still. Very expensive for a low grade policy!!!

Some people that work there try to help but the company itself its very difficult to deal with. Healthgram definitely looks for ways to save money and your health and the recommendations from your Dr are secondary to that. I have been denied screenings that were pertinent to my health - PET scan after 3 months of chemo and they refused it. They would only approve a CT scan...no other reason than to save money. PET scan definitely gives better info than a CT scan and it was ordered by the Oncologist but why would they care. They sub out approvals to another third party who is even worse than Healthgram. I asked who declined the Dr Order for the PET scan and was told a Dr did....the problem is I asked more questions and found out it was a family medicine GP Dr who knew better than my Oncologist. They use guidelines to make those decisions. Well, guess who creates the guidelines? We all know the whole medical insurance industry in the country is a joke. No one should ever have to consider if they can afford to get what they need to give them the best chance to be healthy and live. You would think at some point someone in this organization would see all these horrible reviews online and their laughable 2.6 star rating and make some changes. It is not just Healthgram, Cigna is horrible too.

Beware terrible insurance, I got this insurance through my job, the national company I work for and I pay a lot for this insurance, they will say everything is not medically necessary and deny everything, if you call them the customer service is rude and act like your bothering them, there website only shows the approved claims like doctors visits so you have no idea whats going on til the denial letter, they will not pay for any tests or mris, i pay a lot and get nothing in return thanks healthgram and Cigna for taking my money
