image This is my first time seeking
employment with a temp agency.
I had an interview with W2, and showed up
15 minutes early, where I was told
that my "on-board" information could
not be sent via email because they/W2 had
"technical issues." I was not bothered,
and began hand writing the application,
including job history/references/tax etc.
My scheduled interview was with
Daniel Zimmerman and it was successful, I
was "on-board" with the company W2 Financial
services and informed that the company
that I was applying for the position,
Tech CSR, would
be hiring in a few weeks-month.
I kept following up with W2, and after
3 weeks, Mr. Zimmerman called me on a
Friday to prep me for an interview the
following Monday. While Daniel, was
on the phone I asked that he provide me
the company address and info. He
assured me that I would receive it via email.
I informed him of the "on-board" incident, but
he remained confident in their services
and just took my email
address again.
The weekend break passes, Monday AM,
still no email from W2, just
30 minutes before my scheduled interview with
an anonymous company, I called W2 (their OPEN) to
gather the information I needed.
Mr. Zimmerman provides me the company name. I was
excited because the company ACN,
I had been familiar with because I had applied
in the past with no
interviews nor any correspondence.
I rushed off eager, conveniently right down the rode, for my
interview with ACN. I arrived 10 minutes
early in business casual attire, white
button down, slacks and flats. I have
over 7 yrs and excel in
CSR TECH call center, and
believed I had fit the part. I have years
of accolades and money/bonuses.
FYI: In a call center environment, it
is about your positive attitude towards,
customers/clients and the company. Customer's
normally cannot see the agent in their cube.
If I had I received the email(s) from W2 financial,
I would have been prepared in Business
professional attire and more knowledgeable of the
company.
The interview at ACN was fair, and the
interviewer seemed to want to get me
started up in that Wednesday's class,
and I was eager to start because I had
been unemployed since 8/2013 and still
remain unemployed 3/5/2014 with no
benefits because they exhausted in Dec.
I did announce to the interviewer at ACN,
that I was not as
prepared for the interview but would check into/
go in depth on their website, due to the email I did not
receive from W2.
After the interview, I called W2 as instructed to tell them
about the interview. I felt good hence the interviewer/ACN
was looking me into my eyes and noddig with enthusim about my answers.
I info W2
that I could start that Wednesday
as described/suggested by the interviewer/ACN.
Shortly after, the interviewer/ACN called
W2 and said that I was not dressed
appropriately nor seemed to want the
2nd shift position.
Though I said "I would appreciate it
if they/ACN sign me up immediately
for that class." We both (ACN & I) giggled at my
willingness to become a loyal rep.
It's unfair that W2 did not
"have my back" and did not admit that
they had "issues" with sending
me the information I needed,
nor correcting the interviewer/ACN,
by say I was "OPEN to any schedule,"
hence unemployed.
I have since interviewed with Apple
One temp agency and they stated,
that W2 was a fault on this whole
situation, they should have "had my back."
statement comes from them.
I have tried to contact W2 with
requisition numbers of other job
opportunities on their site, with
no response to help me or apologize
for their lack of professionalism.
FYI: I now have at the end of this month,
fortunately the opportunity
to re-file for benefits since I was
laid off FT. Not so exciting,
I prefer to work.
