I wanted to share a bit of my experience with Apollo Dental in Ballantyne with Dr. Seth and her entire team. I never went to a dentist when I was younger. I heard terrible stories that made me fearful. So, being a kid and enjoying insane amounts of sweets, I never wanted to go to a dentist. I ended up with toothaches that I mostly ignored and self medicated with over the counter pain medications. I was badly determined not to go to a dentist. Then, I broke my front tooth which was what took me to the dentist. I met Kelsey who was very sweet. (I’m sorry if I spelled the names wrong.) She set up an appointment for me and was able to help answer questions. Kat was very nice and she helped me with financing options and answering questions too. When I went in for my first checkup in many years, I met Jackie and Dr. Seth who are incredibly wonderful people. Jackie and Dr. Seth went through my X-rays with me and talked about what they thought would be best for my dental treatment plan. They patiently answered the questions I had and they showed me on the X-rays why they thought a procedure was the best option because I didn’t see what they saw. They helped me to understand. I ended up getting a root canal, a crown, an extraction with bone graft, like 6 cavities filled, and three more extractions all with bone grafting so I could prepare for dental implants in the future, and a partial for the extractions. They were very attentive. Dr. Seth and Jackie periodically asked me how I was doing during the procedures. They asked me if I felt pain and if I was still okay. I was. I had the root canal done, the temporary crown, and also the extraction of the infected tooth beside it. I was prescribed pain medication which I picked up. When I got home, I took some Advil for the soreness and that was it. I didn’t have any pain. I was quite surprised. I was expecting a lot of pain. I had zero pain. My prescription bottle remains unopened. I then got 6 fillings done. I didn’t have any pain during the procedure. Both Dr. Seth and Jackie made sure I was comfortable. I was expecting pain after the procedure because they were filling teeth that still had nerves but just like before with my root canal and extraction, I felt no pain afterwards. It was surprising to me because I thought there would be pain or swelling or something afterwards. I was wrong. My partial came in so Kelsey scheduled me for the three extractions and bone grafting. I came back and thought, well, my luck is probably going to run out and one of the three pulled teeth will probably end up hurting. Dr. Seth and Jackie were wonderful as always and I didn’t tell them before we started, but I was pretty scared I was going to end up feeling pain because that’s how it’s supposed to go. Dr. Seth did a great job. I watched her and I was silently scared of the instruments she used, thinking I’d feel pain at any moment. I didn’t. I could hear what was going on and see what was going on but I couldn’t feel anything. I didn’t even feel any pressure when she took out my teeth. I felt so relieved watching her put the extracted teeth on the tray because I couldn’t feel it come out at all. She put in the bone grafts and stitched me up. I came home and took some Advil for the soreness. I thought I was going to hurt but I went to sleep for a few hours. When I woke up, the swelling was gone and I didn’t feel any pain at all. It’s crazy because I’m expecting pain or more soreness but nothing. I can talk normally too. I really appreciate Dr. Seth and her team. I honestly feel safe with them. I feel relieved to have gotten lucky choosing them. They always made sure I was okay, they answered questions I had, and they took their time to take care of me. They were friendly and they were genuinely interested in me talking about myself and were willing to tell me about theirselves. I also feel very confident that they do their best to help me. They’re the only dentist I’m going to use and keep using! I definitely recommend them to everyone! Thank you!
