Had 2 root canals done with Dr Joe, he's a great doctor with a soft touch I didn't feel a thing, I think I even feel asleep for a minute. I never liked dentists in the past but times have sure changed. I highly recommend him.

Nicole, the receptionist, was informing me that a CT scan cannot be sent digitally because the file is too large. As I was inquiring about zipping the file, she rudely and loudly interrupted with 'yeah, we're NOT doing that. I don't know how to do that, and we're just not doing that, okay?' Many other ways to handle than jump down my throat while trying to help explain how the practice might better manage digital files with free software. Charlotte Endodontics, you may consider getting someone more patient and equipped to interact with potential clients.

My original post was based on my initial consultation. So now I gladly provide this update with 5 stars. Dr. Joe Byun thoroughly explained the process of getting a root canal and especially why I needed it. I experienced "no pain and no discomfort" during or after the procedure. It was one of the best experiences I've had in healthcare. He and his assistant provided quality care and the ladies at the front desk were very personable and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Byun and Charlotte Endodontics.

I had a terrible pain in my front teeth. I was referred to Charlotte Endodontics by my dentist. Charlotte Endo took a serices of x-rays and I was told "nothing really stands out". Doctor Joe said he "thought" the problem was coming from a particular tooth but nothing definative stood out. He ended up doing a root canal on his suspected tooth and while under anethesthics there was no pain (obviously). Turns out he did the root canal ON THE WRONG TOOTH. I returned home and after the anethestic wore off the pain was as bad as ever. I called his office and they said they could schedule me the following week. Over the weekend the pain was so bad I had to go the the 24-hour emergency dental clinic in Charlotte to have them do an emergency extraction (at an additional cost of $500 to get rid of the pain). Upon inspection I was told there was a gapping hole in a lower wisdom tooth and that it needed to be extracted. The procedure was not easy as the problem went all the way down to the bone. That week I sent a letter to Charlotte Orthodontics and told them there was no need for a further appointment and that the root canel was done on the wrong tooth; that I was in such dire pain that I had to have the tooth extracted. I asked to get a refund for the $1350 Charlotte Endo took from me for the root canal on the wrong tooth. I still have not heard a word from them or even received an apology. Obviously, I will never return to them if I need further endo work. I will probably have to go to small claims court to address this obvious malpractice case which will just mean more headaches and added cost in time. If you need endodontics work, save yourself a lot of problems and look elsewhere!

So I never thought I would be giving a review on a root canal! But let me tellllll y'all! I got my 1st root canal EVER at Charlotte endodontics a few weeks ago and Dr.Byun made this process literally almost completely painless...lol I hate shots BTW. (Who doesn't?) ...his front office stay Kelsey and Robin are so sweet and always willing to answer questions as I definitely had a lot of them! Dr. Byun made sure to explain everything he was doing as I initially came in for a TMJ issue that turned out to be a abscess. They saved my tooth and my beautiful smile and he literally called me the day after my procedure to check on me and if I was in any pain. YALL MY MOUTH WASNT EVEN SORE.! not even from the shots...I am amazed and very grateful at how truly caring his entire staff is. They are so personable if anyone needs a root canal I would definitely without a doubt recommend this practice.
