Because of some glitch in their system. My apartment has been out of power for almost 72 hours. Even though everything is squared away on my end. I just had to dump my entire refrigerator and freezer with NO reimbursement. Groceries are not cheap anymore Duke. Get your systems together!! Wish their was another electric company we could use out here.

Unitedhealth ucard paid my Feb bill. It was received on Feb 13. I still don't have credit. I was told it takes 10 days. Feb 13 sure is more than 10 days. I think they need to to listen to the customer. And get the problem taken care of $299.is one third of my social security check.

Duke is the epitome of a tyrannical monopoly. This is an absolute garbage of an institute. Duke is unable to put two accounts on one app but they are able to auto enroll me in their spam emails under the guise of "promotions" for other services that are not managed by Duke. Duke is able to auto enroll me in their paperless billing functions though - keeping my monthly bill hidden amidst the thousands of other spam emails they send me, allowing them to rack up penalties and fees at my expense because they are effectively burying any chance I may have at paying my bills in a timely manner. IF there was any way to work with an organization that carried an ounce of competency, I would immediately stop service with Duke and quit lining the pockets of the incompetent. Oh how nice it must be to dominate a market in which your customers are obligated to use you despite malicious customer service practices.
