I was in a hit and run accident by a Scholastic Open A World Of Possible Truck. The truck had no license plate which in NC has a state law that license plates must be on the back of a vehicle. I called the 888 number the day of the accident, 9/28/2022 while I waited at the scene of the accident for the police to come. I spoke to lady, Michelle who told me this information would be passed along to the safety director. Today, 6 days later, 10/4/2022, my insurance company called me. Yes, I had to file a claim through my insurance in which I'll have to pay a $1,000 deductible to have more than that dollar amount work be done, anyway, my insurance called me. He said he spoke to a lady and she said the same thing that the information would be passed to a safety director. How is this possible? I've had no information presented to me and now feel the need to contact a lawyer to pursue legal action. I was at a red light making a left turn. The scholastic truck came up next to me and made a right turn on red, legally but hit me. I'm not looking to make money as I'm not injured. However, if you hit me, you are liable to repair and restitution should be made to make me whole prior to the accident.​
