Always Best Care Senior Services

I have been using Always Best Care Senior Care, located on Sardis Rd., for about 2 months, mostly as sitters for my mother in an assisted living facility. I could not be happier with their service. All of the caregivers are kind and compassionate. With Covid still very active, there have been weeks when the facility would not let me visit my mother, but Always Best Care caregivers are allowed in the facility. I am so thankful to have a found a service with people I can completely trust to look out for my mother when I can’t be there. They do whatever is needed to help my mother feel comfortable and safe, even as her dementia increases.

Always Best Care (ABC) Pineville-Matthews franchise (there are 2 in Charlotte divided by location served) is amazing – they really care about the person they are helping. We could not be more pleased with their dedication, and we feel so lucky to have found this company. My wife and I had contacted ABC Pineville-Matthews looking for someone to accompany my 92 yr. old mother-in-law by wheelchair transport (along with my wife) to occasional specialist doctor appointments from the assisted living facility she had just moved into 2 weeks prior. A nurse from ABC came to the facility, did an assessment, and after some paperwork, we were set-up. Things changed almost the next day. We learned that my mother-in-law had fallen for a third time - this is common as these facilities cannot monitor residents constantly, and restraints are not permitted as those can be, by themselves, safety hazards. My mother-in-law is strong enough to stand up from her wheelchair, is impulsive, but as a result of a recent stroke does not have the safety awareness to remember she does not have the balance to walk...so she falls. We contacted ABC and asked for caregivers to be with my mother-in-law 8am-9pm 7 days a week to monitor her as we evaluate more ways to keep her safe. Shayna Tonia, the owner of this franchise, contacted the assisted living facility and the next day 4 caregivers and Ms. Tonia were at the facility for facility-required orientation. Ms. Tonia offered to have caregivers start that same day, but we asked for them to start the following day, and ABC caregivers have been with my mother-in-law every day since. All of the ABC caregivers have been exceptional - they are skilled, kind, friendly, empathetic, and look out for the well-being of my mother-in-law. She can be obstinate, and they know how to talk with her to get her to participate in facility activities. They provide updates during the day about the activities my mother-in-law is participating in and if there are any issues. They go with my wife and my mother-in-law when she needs to be taken by wheelchair transport to a specialist, or just an occasional shopping trip. They are with her in the dining room...often she would not go and would eat alone in her room. If a scheduled caregiver cannot be at the facility for a period of time, Ms. Tonia or a member of her business staff, all experienced caregivers, are there so no gap in service occurs. We also find this exceptional. My wife had been with her mother every day 8-12 hours a day for 2 months following her stroke, and ABC has also given my wife a much needed break.

I would recommend Always Best Care to anyone that is looking for personal care/CNA either short term or long term! ABC-Seniors can help with your personal, run errands such as shopping or even cook you meals. Great caregiver, honest and compassionate!!

Always Best is not only caring & focused on their clients' needs, but makes our family member feel comfortable & truly cared for, which we greatly appreciate. It is a comfort to know that our elderly family member is in good, caring hands!
