The place overall had a weird vibe. The people at the front desk were very awkward. My first nurse was really ratchet and un-friendly even after I tried to clear the tension in the room. She rushed with me and didnt speak any words to me other than protocol. This was an emotional experience for me, being this was my first abortion and the fact that I already have a 2 year old daughter. I cried in the waiting room and no one offered a kind gesture or even to comfort me. The lady at the front desk offered me tissue but thats it and I could tell that her sympathy was fake and forced. I even actually stepped outside and talked to the protesters during the mist of me being so confused and un-nurtured by the workers at the clinic. I ended up just going on with the procedure because even they made me feel worse. I clearly told them ahead of time that I wasnt Christian and they STILL pressured me into believing their beliefs. I felt like I was getting saved instead of comfort and a change of mind about the abortion. I went back inside and was emotionally tired from all of my mixed motions. The wait for the rest of my pain medicine was ridiculous but it gave me adequate time to regroup. The next nurse that later assisted with the doctor was really a breath of fresh air. She was a lady with red colored dreads. She was very genuine and kind hearted. She ended up holding my hand while I squeezed her through the whole process. The actual doctor was better than I expected even though his humming was very annoying but I could over look it. I knew he was just doing it to help me with comfort. He let me know everything that was going on during the procedure. After I was finished with the procedure I finally got to snack on pretzels and drink water. Minutes later I got up, and left. I handled the procedure well. It was worse than I expected because it lasted around 10 minutes and they told me on the phone itd be a quick 5 but whatever. Just glad that this is over with! Currently just relaxing. I 100% feel that Ive made the best decision. Thank you for reading my comment!
