    I have had my homeowners and car insurance with Matt Phillips State Farm for 8 years now and have always been very pleased with how responsive him and his team have been! He has always made himself available via phone or email for anything we need help with. He also guided my husband and I in choosing a life insurance policy and made it a seamless process. I had an accident when I was newly postpartum and he helped guide me through the process and put me at ease that everything was taken care of , and I will always be very grateful, especially for that. I have also recommended him to family members and they have always had positive things to say about their experience as well. Hes super easy to work with and knowledgeable and I highly recommend choosing him!

    Customer service is NOT priority with THIS State Farm business. I'd actually like to reach out to the State Farm franchise and show them the chain of emails I have. It's been three months of back and forth of me trying to get a policy. I noticed there were times Megan emailed me and I didn't see the emails, therefore I didn't reply. I apologized and advised the email we were using was an email I don't use. I advised this was the email I used when searching for insurance to prevent my real email from getting spammed. This ENTIRE portion was ignored. A new quote was sent out to the same email address and the apology for ME dropping the ball that time I did was ignored. I asked several times if the email was received because that portion wasn't acknowledged and Megan was still using that email address, except for one time. She continued to only send an updated policy quote. I've NEVER had such a tacky or lengthy experience trying to obtain insurance. I asked if I could pay for the policy online and was told to call. I called, once the policy was correct (five minutes after I got the email) and no answer as well as no call back. I'm not sure why a business would operate this way, but no thank you.

    Of late Mr. Phillips does not appear to be interested in solving problems that would take up much of his time. Recently we noticed a series of mistakes on our various policies. He provided no explanations for what happened and offered no assurances that similar problems wouldn't happen going forward. So we thought it made sense to keep an eye on things for awhile and asked his assistance in doing this, i.e., periodic phone calls with him to ensure no mistakes were made prior to paying our invoices. Matt dismissed this request out of hand and said in an e-mail, "You are both educated adults that are highly capable of reviewing the insurance documentation that State Farm sends". Leading up to that he also said,  "First of all, No - we don't need to meet on this nor will I schedule a 5 minute phone call to discuss every bill as they are issued." Then he "fired" us by e-mail saying "It appears that y'all are requiring more service than I have time to extend.". So he bailed out when we asked him to spend a little bit of time on the phone with us just several times a year. I just assumed that the premiums we pay entitle us to spend time, as needed, with our agent. Fortunately we have a lot of confidence in another State Farm agency so we are moving our accounts to them.

I do apologize that you did not receive the service you expected. We do strive to satisfy the goals of our customers. I have read the email exchanges between you and my staff, and I feel that I should provide some context. You mention that the process was a 3 month saga, yet you fully acknowledged just a few days ago that our replies to the only email provided to us went un-noticed by you for over 2.5 months. You then replied and provided 2 additional email addresses to us and did not distinguish which one was your primary, so I'm sure you understand the confusion on our end. Further, you called my office after hours and your phone call went to voicemail. Upon receiving your message we immediately called you back, and no one answered nor was our message left returned. Finally, I saw on 2 separate occasions my staff apologized for any confusion and provided simple instructions to finalize the policy for you. Nonetheless, we are continuously working to improve our services and will use your feedback to ensure we provide the best possible experience for our loyal State Farm customers in the future.
