After shopping in all the stores in Highlands and several stores in Cashiers, I stopped at Bella Cotn. All the other stores welcomed dogs and there was no sign on the door prohibiting them so I took my tiny Maltese in with me. Now I have been politely told in other places that dogs were not allowed and of course I understood and left. The owner of this store did not even greet me, instead saying “I guess I should put a sign on the door”. I said “you don’t allow dogs”? She kind of shrugged and said well, it’s ok”. I said “ok, how about if I hold him ?” And I got the same shrug and “it’s ok”. I said “do you want me to leave”? Her response was yes!! She said “it’s a high end boutique “. Never once did she smile or say anything other than what I have written. Her demeanor was very rude and unwelcoming. I wanted to shop there and probably would have purchased a few things. My dog could have waited outside with my husband if this woman had just been polite. Of course I left.

Wonderful store with lots of nice things. Owner very accommodating. Enjoy going and finding beautiful clothes.
