Nice place, good food, reasonable price, decent service. Went sevenish on Valentine's Day, I thought it would be packed and bad news, but not so. Sat on the sushi bar side, nice decor. The waitress was nice and did not try to up sell us when asked for suggestions, but did tell me to get another sushi since it was buy one get one. Which was nice. I had yakatori for an appetizer which was good. Others had shumai which was also nice and had a nice mustard sauce. Japanese beer is only a buck more than domestic so I had that. I had the deluxe sushi which had a lot of sushi and tuna rolls and I had the shaggy dog roll which was really good. The ginger and wasabi tasted fresh and was good. My daughter had the sunny roll which was very good, the other daughter had veggie tempura and like it. My wife enjoyed the hibachi shrimp. All the portions were good. The total was just over $100 without tip, so it was reasonable. I will go back

We've been a fan of Ginza for many years, originally finding it to be superior to the other local competitor. We've noticed a gradual decline in several areas, appearance, cleanliness, service and, sadly, the food. Our latest visit was a rude surprise which led me to this review. Either they are short on servers or our server was new and struggling as he was rarely at our table, routinely brought the wrong soft drink and brought us warm beer. We waited at least 15 minutes for his return to tell him the beer was warm. He didn't know what to do, left the beer and returned when dinner was mostly done to tell us the freezer was broken and offered us other beer - no thanks. The food was also disappointing. The rice and shrimp were overcooked, chewy and tough. My scallops looked great, but tasted like burnt metal. I don't know what or how this could happen. The final straw were the bathrooms which were somewhat flooded, inoperable and lacking toilet paper. It's obvious the owner doesn't know or doesn't care about what is happening there which is too bad because it was (past tense) a regular stop for my family.
