Carolina Organic Lawns

I received service from Carolina Organic lawns in 2019 and paid for a year of service in advance. I moved over the winter and they resumed service without my consent at my old house. They would not drop the charge from that unsolicited spraying which I find to be very unprofessional. Very disappointing and I would not recommend doing business with this company.

We paid for a year of garlic oil spraying for mosquitoes and we're very happy with the result. When we purchased the year program, we were not told it automatically converted to a month to month, so when we moved we figured that was the end of it. Imagine our surprise when we received a bill from them starting a new service at our old house. When we objected to the charge ($65), the owner was quite rude and hostile. I'm disappointed by the lack of professionalism and sad that we will no longer be using their service.

I would take the one star reviews over auto-renewal with a grain of salt. This company's communication is great and there have never been any surprises about when they will be at our house for service. They send out an email saying to let them know if you don't want service to continue, which is convenient because they get booked up fast. 2021 will be our third year using them and find that we have less mosquitos but still have plenty of bees and birds. There is never any smell and they only spray the shrubbery, not the grass where pets and kids will be. I've always heard back from emails quickly and it's usually Jon himself replying. As several of the other reviews stated, the customer service of this company is subpar. We had them do mosquito treatment at our house for an entire summer, but since the results weren't that great we decided not to renew the next season. Much to our surprise - out of the blue we had someone at our house the following summer spraying for mosquitos. When I reached out about it the owner Jon about it, he was quite rude about it saying it was industry standard to renew and they sent emails notifying me and that I "must have neglected to open them." (We have used other services before - it is NOT industry standard.) When I went back to view the emails not one of the subject lines was about renewing - why would anyone open a spam looking email? They had plenty of times to tell me about renewal, such as when I reached out to schedule our last treatment, they said "great, your final treatment will be on this date." FINAL. Why would a customer assume renewal? Oh, and after a barrage of emails demanding I pay for the invoice for the service I didn't order, they threatened to report me to a collection agent! What?! Don't use this company! The treatment didn't even work that great and how I was treated as a customer was terrible. I would not recommend them to anyone. Service: Lawn pest control
