Find a doctor elsewhere! My wife and I had our first child and hoped to get our medical care locally here at the blue ridge medical Center. Our newborn struggled to feed early in life and his nurse practitioner gave us no guidance. Did not refer us anywhere and said she didnt know any lactation consultants. Instead she told my wife to just use formula which she was clear she wanted to avoid. We did what anyone else would do and found a new doctor who immediately caught our babies tongue tie and preferred us to a Pediatric dentist / lactation consultant. Sadly I also saw a doctor there who ignored every complaint I had. It felt like she was just ticking off boxes. Sadly I can not put all of this behind me because the billing department never billed my insurance leaving me a huge bill for a bunch of routine preventative visits. after about 5 phone calls i had to get my insurance company to call the clinic to give them the information. Regardless they still have not sent me an updated bill or called me back. all they had to do was pick up a phone and call me or my insurance company. instead they just repeatedly sent the same bill. Go to asheville or Johnson city for your medical needs. its worth the drive.

This is probably the worst medical facility I have ever been to. The staff is not helpful and are often times rude. You have to wait months for an appointment. They are short staffed and really dont care about patients. I have never been so disappointed in a facility. All they seem to care about is if you have insurance (I do) and if you can pay (I can). We all deserve quality medical care. This is not the place to get it. On top of all this there were HIPPA violations. All discussions about my medical needs were discussed in the waiting room. I will be filing a grievance against the Practice Manager.

You get Return calls 3-4 days later. You can never get in with your doctor within 2-3 months. Anything that comes up that you need to see a Dr you can forget it!!!! You are referred to an ER. This place has went way down hill!

All staff are kind and friendly. Dr. McDonald is very thorough and takes time to discuss any questions or concerns that a patient may have. I really appreciate her!
