Been several restaurants this 1 seems to stick. Crowded most of the time. Reservation suggested.

My wife and I came here for our first night away in 6 years. The main restaurant was pretty. I remember their ceiling light particularly. The bar wasnt bad either. Due to availability, we were seated in the bar. Everything forward was just okay. Our bartender was cordial. My biggest complaint was the food. My beer was okay. Our appetizer wasnt great, bread and some dips, I believe, but the entrees and price are what irked me most. I got trout and some veggies. The fish had to have been the smallest trout Id seen. I had next to know veggies. My wife ordered a sandwich and didnt even finish it. It wasnt bad food, but I wasnt blown away by any means. The bill pushed between $70-$90. It wasnt worth it. At all. We left with a lighter wallet and unfilled appetite. My recommendation is the Blowing Rock Brewing Company. We went there for lunch after a long hike the next day. Good food. Great beer. And excellent portions.
