Sign said open, door was open, website said open - as soon as we walked in the door the guys yelling at us that theyre closed like how could we not know that. We get back outside turn around and there are two open signs right there! Also it was a Tuesday night at dinner time when regular restaurants would be open.

Our group reserved the upstairs for a bachelorette party. We had the entire space to ourselves and it was setup beautifully. We were all very impressed with the ambiance. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the service. The staff and chef seemed to be under prepared to serve such a large group, even though we booked months in advance. We were not provided with unlimited wine as promised or our final course. Some of the group found raw chicken in one of the dishes. When confronted, the chef did not apologize or try to make amends. In the end, he ended up yelling at the maid of honor and addressing the group in an aggressive manner as if we had done something wrong. I think the entire thing could have been rectified if he had simply owned his mistake and tried to make it right. I would not recommend this restaurant.

If a 0 star rating was an option, that would be my choice. We reserved a private room upstairs for a large group and everything was beautiful when we arrived. We were told the prepaid price of our meal would include unlimited wine, but we were greeted with 3 bottles of opened Cupcake wine and when we asked for additional bottles we received 3 bottles of red wine and a bottle of Sams club Sangria for the remainder of the meal - not quite unlimited wine for 21 people. During our 4th course, we received several family-style bowls of Coq Au Vin. Pictured above, all of them were not just undercooked, but actually raw. The lighting was so dim that no one noticed the raw chicken until biting into it. When the owner was presented with this fact, he did not take responsibility, but tried to justify that the meal was prepared correctly. The bowls of raw chicken were not removed, nor were the plates and forks we used to eat the raw chicken. We were never brought the 6th course because they noticed we werent eating so and assumed we were full. The owner was not apologetic, but extremely defensive which only worsened the situation. An apology for the raw chicken would have gone a long way to correct the situation, but he only made it worse. The situation was disappointing and had the potential to be dangerous for everyone eating the uncooked chicken.

Came to Asheville for my bachelorette and my maid of honor chose Polanco well in advance for a 21 person party. When we arrived, I was so impressed with the set-up as we walked in. That was beautiful, then it went downhill from there. We reserved the upstairs being told our services would have unlimited wine. They ran out of wine after 4 bottles, then proceeded to bring out the courses and put bowls of family style chicken in cream sauce across the table. Cutting into the chicken, it was completely raw. My maid of honor, who set up the dinner, had to go make herself throw up because she is pregnant. When she approached the owner about it, there was no remorse, just we are bringing you out more food. No attempt to even take the chicken back to recook. He then proceeded to tell her she was being disrespectful when it was clear he was embarrassed about his horrible service and serving raw meat. Along with having nothing near unlimited wine, they also missed one of the courses that were supposed to be served. They took a little off the bill but it was nowhere near what should have been compensated. This place is a joke wrapped up in pretty decor. Dont go here. Its a sorry excuse for a restaurant.
