Tom is a high-level craftsman and artist in the landscape. He's a rough character, and can be hard to pin down, but when he gets into a project he proceeds with mastery, patience and artistic talent that is very hard to find. If you want seriously good and unique work done and are willing to wait for the quality, I would highly recommend Tom.

I hired Tom mid-February, trying to get a project rolling well before the busy season. After two months of meetings and emails all he had to show me were a few rough sketches. Also, the first time we met he didn't take any notes. During our subsequent meetings kept complaining that he "had nothing to go on" and it was obvious he had forgotten many of my requests. The last straw was the week he told me he would definitely have a drawing for me and would call me back to set up a meeting. I didn't hear from him all week and when I contacted him Friday morning all he said was he had to go out of town for a few days and we may be able to meet the following Tuesday. I felt that I had been more than understanding with all of his delays and run-around but still had no quote, drawing, or start date so I fired him. Now I've had to hire someone else at the height of the busy season and the project I was hoping to have done already won't even be starting for another month. Don't waste your time with Tom.
