Over Easy Cafe

If you don’t like tight crowded places, don’t come here. If you want delicious food and attentive service, come here. All by myself wanting some breakfast. Wandered here and saw a line. This place must be either really good or not enough chairs. BOTH. My huevos ranchero was probably the best I have ever eaten. I asked the gentleman next to me how his hash was and he said it was delicious. I waited for 30 minutes for a table and got to sit at the ‘bar’. Didn’t wait long for a delicious cup of coffee. Service was exceptional. Day 2: seasonal bowl and wow was it good. Sat next to a nice lady and we had a nice chat. What a nice town. The wait is worth it.

Great breakfast/brunch spot. Try some local North Carolina specials like the NC crab and grits!

Two times on this visit to Asheville. Veggie omelet was amazing, but there's so much more to explore including their eggs benedict specials, the brioche breakfast sandwich and more. Everything is fresh and tasty - not greasy or heavy. Cocktails with breakfast - try the Penitentiary (grapefruit, bourbon) or Early Start (coffee, cultivated cocktails liquor). Expect to leave your name with hostess outside and wait 30+ min wait but they use yelp for waiting list so you get a text and just be at the hostess stand to claim your table. They will encourage you to order but don't rush you; remember this place is popular so help them turn tables by not lingering after your meal.
