“Forgot†to officiate the the burial of my parents in law, Peter and Rosemary Cass this weekend 6/5/21.
After literal decades of being dedicated parishioners and generous contributors to your Parish, I find it unforgivable. Apparently, according to his phone call Sunday afternoon, Father Jay saw it on his calendar, but Just “missed itâ€. Amazing! The Navy managed to keep track of it, as well as several thousand honor guards, this year alone. Pop Pop received his well deserved Honor Guard for selfless service and dedication to the Navy. Nana was abandoned on her day of reckoning, by the Church and Parish she so selflessly served and loved. As her advocate, I find this heartbreaking and faith taking.
