I went for a something small, some quick me time. The prices were reasonable and the store front was welcoming. I got a foot message, serviced by the ower herself, as it was during the slower part of the day. It was everything I thought it would be and more!!! The best parts of a pedicure magnifiedx100, minus the nail polish....pure relaxation in a comfortable atmosphere. The owner was a joy to talk to, as I was new to New York, and really needed a friend conversation!

I have been to this establishment once for a deep tissue massage about a year ago. I had another appointment scheduled but they called 2 hours before my appointment to cancel it for whatever reason. I did not call back to reschedule. I have called twice and left messages in the last week to schedule an appt for another massage but NO ONE has called me back!! This place is nearly impossible to get a hold of. No one ever answers the phone and their website is all in Chinese? I am very disappointed with the lack of attentiveness of this "spa". They have certainly lost my business!! Also, the way that the owner childishly argues back with anyone who writes a bad review is very unprofessional. No thanks!

I cannot recommend this spa. I purchased a Groupon around Christmas time, and scheduled my massage accordingly. AFTER the massage, I was informed that I had to pay the full price ($85) for a massage because my therapist didn't accept Groupon. I was not thrilled, but I paid that amount and rescheduled with a different (Groupon friendly) massage therapist for 6 weeks later to redeem the coupon, which was the soonest the could accommodate me. The day before my massage, I received confirmation of my appointment. As I was walking out the door, I noticed an email cancelling my appointment for no reason and without explanation. I received no call or text, and if I hadn't checked my email I wouldn't have known. I tried calling and could not reach anyone. Additionally, my mother also had services rendered at this spa and had a whole slew of problems, one after another which cost a lot of money to rectify. The management is rude and argumentative as well, so please approach this spa with caution- or better yet, take your business somewhere else where customer satisfaction is a priority. I can only hope Groupon will give me a refund; but either way I have a bitter taste in my mouth from every experience with them over the last 3 months.

I have had several messages here, and after finding Brittany, this is the only place that I will go for a message now, unless I am traveling. Joie is also fabulous. I highly recommend a deep tissue. I originally thought it was just for athletes, but it is also for people who spend most of their time slumped over a computer.

Waxing services at Green Spa will leave you sticky, bleeding, bruised, and uncomfortably close to naked when nudity is not necessary. I can't even begin to say how disappointed I was in this service. While the esthetician was one of the sweetest people I've ever met, she was unskilled in the service that I went in for and actually caused minor injuries. I brought the issue to the attention of the owner after thinking about it for a day or two- I didn't want to get the employee in trouble, she had really tried and was obviously a kind hearted person, but she just wasn't proficient in this service. Truthfully, the spa is at fault for allowing someone who hasn't done this service regularly to offer it to clients. I left this spa with actual physical injuries and a service that should have taken 45 minutes took almost three hours (after I was seen a half hour late). When I brought the issue to the attention of the owner via email, she refused to offer any viable solution, insulted me, and accused me of lying. Insulted, I provided a review on Yelp. She replied by dishonestly stating that I had never told her the details of the experience. In further messages, she demanded that I come to the spa and show her my bikini line. This is not a trustworthy woman and this spa is not committed to the highest standard of client services. I wanted to try to make the situation right privately, but that was not possible. If it had just been a one time issue, with a staff member filling in or something, that would be one thing. But that's just not so. If the owner had at least attempted to repair the situation responsibly and maturely, I would likely not be writing this review. But as she has literally added insult to injury, it feels important to me that other people know who they are dealing with when they walk into this business.
