Worst agent I've ever dealt with! He signed me up then all the problems started. Doesn't return calls or emails. After I changed agents he actually canceled my policies stating that I moved out of state. it snowballed from there! Total incompetence! complaints were filed with State Farm. They couldn't even figure out what he did or why. Do yourself a favor and don't get involved with this disturbed person.

Tom Lavelle is the worst agent / person I have ever dealt with in my life.  Unless you are signing up for an insurance policy, he will not come to the phone nor answer questions regarding any issues.  He is a coward and hides behind his secretary, Regina.  Unfortunately, Regina is a puppet and is remised of insurance policies.  At one point, she thought she muted me, but she didn't and I heard Tom say some things about me which I cannot repeat.  When I finally did get him on the phone (by mistake) because I asked who I was speaking to, he hung up on me as soon as he gave me his name. So if you are looking for an insurance agent that cares, Tom Lavelle is not your guy!  When I called State Farm customer service, I was told that Tom is an independent agent, and that if I wanted I could change agents, and they offered no resolve to my issue either.  So, anyone who works for State Farm is considered independent agents and the service they offer is dependent on who they are as a person.  There are many insurance companies who are hungry for the business and have great customer service.  Farmers and Mercury offer great competitive rates and they are hungry for the business.  Liberty Mutual has been the policy holder on my other car and their customer service is second to none.
