Pelton Contracting

Took the money and ran. Didn't finish gutters, literally left me hanging. Removed old brackets and did not replace with new. Also, caused other property damage, and denies responsibility.

If I could give them no stars that would be about right. I hired Pelton Contracting in August 2018 to replace a section of my roof. The existing roof was asphalt shingles and I wanted a metal roof. They asked for 1/3 upfront, one third midway through and 1/3 upon completion. After I paid I began to discover the multiple errors. People who saw the work asked if he had ever installed a metal roof before. It took one year for them to return to “fix” one section. I hired a lawyer to try to get them to respond. The remedy was as bad as the initial installation, actually worse since they removed much of the neoprene gaskets. Jeff claims to have done a “perfect job.” Recently I contacted the company that provided the materials, supplying them with photos for analysis. They were stunned by what they saw. Materials were incorrectly installed, “incorrectly and unevenly cut, metal panels not installed correctly, installed backwards, wrong materials used, transition flashing missing” and the list goes on. Normally a metal roof comes with a 40 warranty. Jeff said he would only warrant his work for five years. I am presently filing a complaint with the State. Contractors like this should not get away with subpar work. Stay far away from this company.

My wife and I had a great experience working with Pelton Contracting. Built us a deck with a gable metal roof over it. Good quality and always available to answer our questions when asked.
