Keats Agency - Nationwide Insurance

I would like to update my review, After I posted I received several calls from the Keats Agency. I was traveling, in a different time zone, so I didn't respond. I was surprised to find when I returned that Maria Mendes had left several messages. She did reach me finally from her private line which she asked me to save to my contacts Maria was profusely apologetic about the office calls and appointment mix-ups.I feel that she was very sincere. I am glad that I am able to feel confidant in Nationwide's concern for its clientele. I have been with this company for over 20 years. I was a bit concerned when Keats took over about 2 years ago. Service has not suffered at all. As a matter of fact, I just switched all my insurance needs to this agency.They were more than competitive. My representative, Maria, was very good about getting back to me on my every concern. I have to edit my review: I have been with Nationwide for over 25 years. A year ago I decided to bundle my car insurance with the rest to further save. I switched to Nationwide car insurance and saw immediate savings. Of course, I was singing their praises. Now, not so much. I travel extensively. Whenever I called because I had an insurance question (coverage, rate change, etc.,) I was told my agent, Maria Mendes, would get back to me. She never did. At least seven times I left messages for her that she never returned. This time I scheduled a face to face meeting with her at the agency. She didn’t show. She wasn’t even in the office. She didn’t leave a message. Who does business like that? She shows a total disrespect and disregard for her clientele. Fortunately, Sergio Gamez, another agent in the office was able to answer my questions and give me options to consider. He is the one who has been ably assisting me this past year anyway. Maybe it is time to shop for another agency that is more responsive to my needs. The rates are no longer as competitive, and the stress is intolerable.

My renter's insurance is from this agency. They got my business by having an office I'd often walk past. But now they are moving to a location less convenient for me. As an established customer I can pay bills over the phone. So I hope their move isn't going to be a problem for me.
