Worst customer service Scam ever!!! The builder had AVD installed the alarm system in our house. It was never used. I called for estimate to add features Change battery because it says needs battery . The guy showed up told me $100 service call, I said you didn’t tell me there’s a $100service call fee. Then he said is $100 to reprogram the system, $150 to add a sensor on the door, $60 for battery (I can’t remember the exact amount). I said ok. Then he said he didn’t have the battery with him but he can reprogram the system. I was like wo the battery, you can’t really tell if the system is really working why don’t you reprogram next time when you have the battery and installing the sensor line. So today Dan came back, he charged me 2 men x 130/hr = $260 for reprograming +$150 install new sensor. Only 1 person worked on reprograming, the other person was gone after installing the line. I had to help Dan open/ close the door / windows to make sure the sensors/ alarm is working properly. When I questioned him about the bill, he started yelling at me and said is all written on the estimate, that I wasted his time last time didn’t let him reprogram. I started crying and feared for my kids and my safety. I wrote him a check of $449 just to get him out of my house. My husband said the reprogramming was never mentioned on the estimate, estimate for installing outdoor 2 story cameras was $100/ man hour included tax. Stay far away from Dan Taylor and AVD as possible.
