They don't know how to use the app there. My meeting was canceled but I did not receive any email or anything saying that the meeting was canceled! The only was a note on the door! I am truly disappointed by the lack of communication at this location.

Wantagh's Weight Watchers is all about health and wellness.   The atmosphere is professional, yet welcoming and friendly at the same time.  Meetings offer wisdom and  support in making good decisions-and living your best life.

Leaders here are pretty good at running meetings; being personal yet personable. And in turn members who attend here are not as lame (at least the ones I've experienced) as the ones in Plainview and Levittown. They discuss things other than food and don't obsess over small irrelevant things. One thing that seems to be a problem with this particular meeting (Sun. 11 a.m.) is that there seems to be no urgency to start on time. Both last week and this, what is supposed to be a 45-minute meeting does not begin as advertised, but rather 15 minutes late. Hopefully, this will not discourage members from coming and participating. I must also vent (it's all you hear at meetings everywhere this month) about the fact that costs are being cut: paper towels are being withheld from those who used them freely for decades; and now stickers are not being printed for the weight loss journals. Come on folks...at $40+ per month, you should know that these stickers are part of the most important rituals for members weekly. I'm sure management will hide behind some excuse about environment, but that's ridiculous. Sorry to rant, but I'm on a positive journey to good health and I don't need the negativity. If you want to cut costs like this, then offer some discounts or lower prices once or twice for long term, loyal customers.
