I have never written a poor review, but this experience was so ridiculous I had to crack my knuckles and start typing. My wife placed an order and I went 20 minutes later to pick it up. I arrived and told the hostess/buslady my number and she nodded and then walked away. I stood there for about 7 minutes staring at two containers that sat on a shelf wondering if they were mine. She finally walks back, picks up my two containers and brings them over to me...I looked down to find out they are, in fact, not my containers. The lady looks at me puzzled, and I explain that it is not my order nor my phone number on the ticket. I then told her what I wanted she nodded and said "5 minutes" and walked away...5 minutes later she walks back and says "10 minutes"- no apology, no wistful look, nothing. Another gentleman walks in and he begins eying the two containers; he tells the lady his phone number and after about 10 minutes Voila! the containers are his. All the while a waiter with a strange hairdo and clicky shoes is sauntering between us as if we did not exist. A good deal of time passes and finally the waitress comes at me with two containers...I am elated...my Thai food is finally here! She then Places the two containers into a giant bag filled with 80 dollars worth of food and tries to ring me up! Nothing in the bag was what I ordered. I tried to talk to her but she basically okayed me to death and walked away. I waited for about five minutes hoping that I was on some sort of strange reality television show or that large amounts of delicious food would be apologetically thrown at me, but, none of that happened- rejected and hungry, I made my way home to a wife and kid sitting hungry at a table- they had waited over an hour on a day where we had been working all day and had received some very bad news. Sometimes something as simple as a food order can be very important, but the staff at Centara were incompetent, and, worse of all, could care less that I walked out the door with nothing but a headache. There are many restaurants in the area that care and work hard to earn your money- I suggest spending it at one of those other establishments. And for those of you who wonder about cleanliness...check out the giant rice cooker sitting behind the counter. Multiple staff members were shoveling rice from the container with a wooden spoon and wore no gloves...after they were done they dropped the wooden spoon back into the container and shut the lid...Beyond a violation!
