They make you wait long time. And plus they will yell your info to the entire office ,ss,healt ensurance even date of birth. Theres no privacy ,no HIPPA regulations here . And plus its smells. Open space 4 desks one in each corner terrible .

My experience was Dr. Shum was incredibly efficient and pleasant. I was able to get an appointment with her pretty quick, compared to the traditional 6 month to a year long wait for other neurologists on the island. She actually takes her time to listen to all of your concerns and works well with you to create a treatment plan youre comfortable with. Would highly recommend to anyone!!

I saw Dr. Shum for an EMG on my ulnar nerve. First, on an extreme positive, her assistant Tracy was wonderful, knowing exactly why I was there and proceeded to test accordingly. I had understood Dr. Grossman, a fine surgeon, had communicated with Dr. Shum prior to the EMG. However, when Dr. Shum came in, she commented, "oh, you have hip issues, right?" I explained I had those years ago, and now I was here for the ulnar nerve in my arm/hand. Dr. Shum then modified her testing to fit what I described, and I didn't ask when/if she had spoken with Dr. Grossman. To her credit, initially she said that I'd have to make another appt to discuss the results, but when she completed the testing of the ulnar nerve, she told me I had issues and then said I should see Dr. Grossman ASAP-so to her credit again, she didn't make me come back for another fee. So a plus and a minus. The doctor who referred me said she is generally quite good....I think it was just an off-day. But again, Tracy was one of the best I've seen.....thanks.
