BE CAREFUL!! VERY DECEPTIVE BILLING PROCEDURES!!!!!!! Just because they say they take an insurance doesn’t make it true!!! And if you have a problem with the billing, don’t expect it to be resolved. Not sure if it’s deliberate deception or just plain incompetence. My husband was referred to this office by his dentist for a surgical procedure. He presented his insurance card to the receptionist and proceeded to fill out his new patient paperwork. Both his dentist and the website claimed that they participated with Delta Dental. He also paid a $100.00 deposit fee. Several weeks later he received a bill for $520.00. When he called to question this amount, they stated that they don’t participate in that particular plan of Delta Dental. WHY WASN'T HE NOTIFIED OF THAT PRIOR TO THE PROCEDURE?!?? Shouldn’t the staff have been knowledgeable and courteous enough to say “There are some plans through this insurance that we don’t accept.” Then he would have found someone who took his plan. Spoke to the office manager and still no resolution. She stated she would need to see his insurance card. That his plan probably wasn’t listed on there- It is. Also that it should state on there that it may not cover dentists other than his primary dentist-It doesn’t. Don’t they have a copy?? Nope, the scanner was broke that day. The mistakes made here are clearly the responsibility of the office and they won’t acknowledge that responsibility.
