Rude customer service/check out staff. After over a decade as a customer and sending numerous others to this business, some of which ONE AND DONE for similar reasons, I will be using them as little as possible going forward. They make no exceptions or efficiencies for long term customers. Other local businesses serving garden and container designers would allow me to text a photo with a write up of my purchase list to the owner while the pandemic created staffing shortages. This was an incredibly trusting honor system, but that is the customer that I have been. This business won't budge a bit to make the customers experience easier or efficient. I would gladly pay more elsewhere for some convenience and kind staff. Carlos Is always awesome!

My husband was really excited when he found Valley View. He thought it was perfect because of proximity to our house as we have a sizeable project that will require frequent back and forth. Was astonished by the rude treatment today. After walking around a bit he went in and asked if there were any bulk buying discounts--he was redirected to the office manager who then redirected him to the nursery manager. He was told to make a list. So he walked out thinking he would make a list. As he was getting into our car, the owner shouted "hey, I hear you are asking about a discount to all my employees"--as if we were wandering around asking people about discounts... No, Sir, your employees redirected my husand to multiple employees none of which knew how to handle the question. He was very aggressive in his tone and manner. When asked for his name he responded "I'm not giving you my name. Just drop off a list." WOW. JUST WOW. Perhaps the owner should educate his employees on who the appropriate person is to speak to about these matters instead of yelling at a potential large customer. We have a massive project, and you just lost our business. Too much competition to be treated so rudely. Time to up your Customer Service game--if you can't handle people asking about discounts for bulk orders then you are in the wrong biz.

Everything they sell is top notch but they are so grouchy. The last time I was there I witnessed a manager yelling at a worker twice his age for not wearing his mask. This was after the CDC s directive that the vaccinated dont need to wear masks so its not like they would have been fined for noncompliance. There is no excuse for speaking to an employee like that. I felt so badly I told the gentleman that I was so sorry he was spoken to like that.
