***Accidentally deleted the other one I've been a client at Sun River Health since I was 18. The behavioral health secretaries are friendly and do the best they can with the resources they are provided. The psychiatric staff are competent. As someone who has rotated between therapists, I can say that I have had more positive than negative experiences. Every encounter a person has with any staff member will vary case by case however, I do not believe in public slander which is different from advocating. Biggest complaint I have is the phone systems.

Angela Tringone is the most insensitive therapist. She likes to judge the book by its cover. Angela, what does someone with Bipolar look? You will be very disappointed with her unprofessionalism. Do not work with her. And Kelly Dean, the supervisor, has been very insensitive to me and my wife since we addressed our concerns regarding certain therapists and nurses that treated us disrespectfully. She rather defend her staff than listen to her patients. Kelly Dean is also one of the least understanding Therapist I ever had in all my years of treatment. She was so argumentative. Her mission seemed to be more about protecting her staff and not the Sun Rivers patients. We fear coming back to Sun River, but giving them a second chance seem to be a mistake. Kelly Dean accused my wife with certain tone even though my wife was very calm. If Kelly Dean cannot respect her patients with mental illness, maybe she is not the right person for the job. She seemed very aggravated even before we start the conversation. She is not concern at all that she is already hurting us. What if something happened to us? Is Sun River prepared for the consequences? This feel like discrimination. She didnt even ask if we, the patients, are okay. My wife had unsuccessful suicide attempt while in therapy at Sun River. They didnt handle well people with mental health. That hurts. Kelly Dean just kept blaming the patients and defend her staff. Some therapists may be unprofessional but if the leadership is not focusing on Sun Rivers mission then Kelly Dean must go. Some staff are kind and supportive. They are the only reason we came back but must we be tortured all the time? We emailed and informed the Sun Rivers administration with no reply. Are they also protecting their staff and not their patients?

Absolutely horrible. The staff is extremely rude and treating everyone who comes in as if they dont matter. I noticed the people that dont speak well enough english they push them away. How do you run a business like this? I have heard staff speak spanish but they dont use them to translate. My family usually goes to the Patchogue location and believe me they have their issues as well but this location makes Patchogue look like a 5 star doctors office. They wouldnt allow me to go in the room with my wife even after she requested for me to be there because they didnt have a translator. This is the first and last time we come here.
